Jacobsens Bakery is in sync with consumer and customer needs and demands when it comes to sustainable raw materials and components.

Jacobsens Bakery has for years been buying RSPO certified palm oil in order to help minimizing the negative impact of palm oil cultivation on the environment and communities in palm oil-producing regions.

Jacobsens Bakery is also a member of the UTZ organization and certified in accordance with the UTZ Code of Conduct – making certain that cocoa products (cocoa powder and chocolate) have been sourced, from farm to shop shelf, in a sustainable manner. The UTZ Code of Conduct offers expert guidance on better farming methods, working conditions and care for nature, which in turn leads to better production, a better environment and a better life for everyone.

Jacobsens Bakery is now also becoming a member of the Fairtrade Foundation – securing extended sustainability in terms of better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
